i am never quite as saddened, amazed, or alienated as when i am in a crowd. walking the streets of the city, i am overwhelmed by the blindness of the people. we care so little, we give so much less than we should, and to the majority of the earth these choices are trivial. is it all about the moment, and should we seize all we can to make it most comfortable for ourselves?
and as low as answering yes to that seems to me, countless others ask less. they seek not comfort, but simple survival. i have been dropped into a slum.

i find that with each day i am more disgusted by the world, and i fall even more in love with life.
